I think this is fantastic and very unique. I'm really interested in the conversion rate affect of this contact form. My guess would be that it dramatically increases conversions. I know I want to start filling it out, right now. haha
I also love the jitter feature in AutoCAD and wish that there was more like it -- I would love to be able to turn that on (and later, off) in photoshop so I can wireframe and design in one tool.
Congratulations! You're a one-man army and joining forces with the greats at balsamiq will make for a powerful team. Can't wait to see how their product improves with your input!
Great article, thanks for another timely entry. Stephen Few's book, "Information Dashboard Design" is also a useful resource. Clients are often in a prescriptive state of mind when they request everyday design devices such as dashboards or checklists. It's helpful to have this type of analysis as you try to reshape their thinking toward what users actually need, which is rarely a page full of graphs and data feeds.
Good job and very useful!
Thanks!

really really great. thank you!
These seem to be kind of a fad at the moment... This is a good example of them done purposefully and well, though.
I loved working with these stencils in omnigraffle, but recently I switched to Axure for Mac.
If you can port them to Axure stencils, I'm willing to pay you for these!
Great stencils. Saves me lots of work :D
Thanks, Joseph.
Been using these for sometime and it's time to give mad overdue props.
Fantastic! For both you and them.
small correction: Patrick McKenzie did some A/B testing of the MadLibs style, not Paul McKenzie.

Congratulations, Mike! What a great fit for both of you. Reading about the vHigh fives sounds of just a sliver of how awesome this pairing will be.
What a great job! That's a dream to someone like you or I. Cheers!
Congrats, Michael! This seems like a perfect opportunity for you. Looking forward to Balsamiq's future!
Congrats Michael,
A great move for both yourself & the Balsamiq team.
Looking forward to the fruits of your labor.
