The captcha on Interaction-Design.org, which requires a verification of tickmarks sum.
Interesting concept, though I don't see it ever being used mainstream. Much easier for a computer to count these up than words or more complex combinations.
Also, I wonder just how many people are actually familiar with the tickmark method of counting (worldwide). Sure, it's a no-brainer to us, but someone may never have come across it before.
This certainly does require familiarity with tick marks. I was surprised to see them, and in no way think they're a good solution. Captcha in general is something I think should go away in favor of smarter methods for stopping spam.
Cool. Interesting use of ticks. I also recently heard about one where you tell the difference between photos of cats and dogs.
In fact, the result is 8 or 10? Surely 10, but i had to think for a moment :-)
