I've seen this cart in action somewhere before and really enjoyed the experience!

Buggy. At least on FF 3.5
And why open a new browser window to show shirt detail images instead of a slick JS modal window?

No problems for me on FF 3.5. I agree with you that pop up windows aren't ideal either. They've had this for quite a while though.

Yeah, Panic have been running this cart system for a number of years. It was ahead of it's time! I noticed icondock.com doing one recently, although it's nowhere near as slick as the Panic drop shop. Speaking of tees, I've always liked the way TypeTees do a full preview on mouseover.

This is near-identical to Flickr's "Organizr". First I've seen it used for a shopping cart, though. Nice play value, considering the target market.

Seem buggy in FF 3.0.14. The items don't disappear when you drag them out.

nice idea but its really buggy, in FF 3.0.14 cant get the items to drag back out of the basket. Adding the same item twice doesn't stack
